The annual fundraising coffee morning took place yesterday, 7 April. In beautiful spring weather, ten teams took part in a Texas Scramble. The winners by one point - 30 - was the team of Gail Hunt, Janet Farrington and Sue Churchill. In second place on 31 points (countback) was the team of Marilyn Marriott, Mick Marriott and new member, Viv Chappell. Nearest the pins went to Anne Hughes and Jo Bell.
There were also sales at the cake stall, golf equipment stall, jams and chutneys, books, plants, jewellery and the raffle. The sum raised on the day was £647. Ladies Captain Michelle Powell thanked all the ladies who ran the stalls and all the people who parted with their cash to make the day so worthwhile.
