PJ TROPHY

The first qualifier got underway on Easter Sunday in dry, although not sunny conditions with 15 entrants contesting for the PJ Trophy.

Sue kicked off her season with a win on 35 points, closely followed by Janet (F) in second on count back with 34 and Michell in third on 34.

Well done, Sue.

LADIES BAILEY FOURSOMES

 Ten teams took to the course on Good Friday to compete in the Ladies Bailey Foursomes. Despite some heavy showers the teams battled through with Janet and Mary taking the title with 31 points. In second place with 29 points was the pairing of Pippa and Vivienne and in third with 28 points, Joan and Margaret. 

Well done to Janet and Mary. 

LADIES TEXAS SCRAMBLE

 

Thirty ladies teed it up on Sunday for the Ladies Texas Scramble in sunshine and dry conditions. Everyone delighted to be back on the mown tee boxes for the first time and the course was looking fabulous. Summer is on its way.

The 3Js (Jo, Jo and Jane) pipped Michelle, Kay and Gill to win on count back both teams coming in with scores of 67. In third place with a score of 69 was Mary, Janet and Helen.

Well done Jo, Jo and Jane.

LADIES 4BBB

 

Thirty ladies (plus Pippa as a marker) braved the wet weather conditions to compete in this weekend’s 4BBB competition. 

Mother and daughter pairing, Sandy and Charlotte, took first place with a score of 36 points, closely followed by Joanne Bell and Joanne Cheshire in second place with 35 points and Michelle and Kay came in with 34 points to claim 3rd place.

Lady Captain, Karen announced the winners and also celebrated her birthday with the ladies.

WINTER LEAGUE WINNERS

Congratulations to the Winter League Winners - Michelle and Janet who beat Mel and Karen 7&5 in the final played today.

A very evenly matched contest with neither team giving any shots, the first hole was halved. Michelle and Janet won the second and didn’t lose a hole from that point onwards.

The match was won on the 13th.

🌟 Rise and shine, golfers! ⛳ Our new captains decided to kick off the season with a bang by hosting a breakfast mixed event. 🍳☕ 28 eager players gathered for a hearty English breakfast, served with smiles by our amazing catering team. As we sipped our coffee, anticipation grew as Steve and Karen revealed the pairings. Talk about a twist of fate when they both found themselves paired together! The golfing gods seemed to have a hand in creating some fierce matchups, promising an exciting competition ahead. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️ Despite the forecast calling for showers all day, our dedicated golfers braved the elements. Even with a downpour on the back 9, our teams stayed strong, showing true grit until the very end. 💪 Who said a little rain could dampen our spirits? ☔
