On Saturday the 1st of July the ladies of Burghley Golf Club were treated to a wonderful day by Ladies' Captain Anne Harrison Smith filled with Scottish surprises which included a piper, bonny Scots Lads at the halfway house and a wonderful demonstration of highland dancing in the clubhouse.
The Piper
The ladies played in teams of three all dressed in interesting Scottish costumes. Lady Captain Anne Harrison-Smith personally greeted each team before play and their pictures were kindly taken by the Men's Captain Trevor Smith. The Official starter was Drew Farrell. The teams teed off to the sound of the pipes.
